As we are a commuter focused bike shop, city bikes hold a special place in our hearts. They're comfortable and practical. Perfect for bringing your kid to school, going to work or even to the supermarket. What distinguishes a City Bike from other Bicycles?

The question of classifying bicycles is always a tough one. To us, city bikes are best for getting around town. They should be relatively low maintenance and be built like a tank. This often comes with a little bit more heft in terms of weight, but the trade-off is well worth it as it'll last for years or even decades to come. city bikes should also be lockable as you should be able to feel at ease leaving your city bike locked outside while you get about your day. Can you use a hybrid bike or a road bike as a city bike? Of course you can!
